Seeking qualified applicant to perform journey level plan review and inspections of commercial and residential building projects for conformance with proper design and applicable codes and regulations; accept and review building permit applications and issues permits; enforce zoning codes and ordinances; and provide information and assistance to the public. Minimum requirements include completion of 21 units of college level courses in building inspection, construction, or other related areas. 1 year of experience performing duties as a professional Building Inspector or Plans Examiner may be substituted for the education requirement. Additionally, 2 years of experience performing building inspections or plans review work within one or more inspection disciplines for a governmental jurisdiction with responsibility for enforcement of the California Title 24 building codes and accessibility requirements.
