The City of San Dimas is researching how other jurisdictions handle residential window replacements. Could you please forward the following questions to your contact list. The sharing of information between Building Officials is very useful and greatly appreciated. Does your jurisdiction require permits for residential window replacements? Do you require a plot plan or window schedule? Do you make bedroom window replacements meet current egress requirements? Do you require dual pane low E windows as dictated for new construction? Does your planning dept. get involved in aesthetic review for historical properties and perhaps others?
